Description
This intarsia fence is specifically designed for the Hi-Tech Diamond 8″ flat lap and allows you to grind perfect 90° angles for stone intarsia. It does not work with the 8″ slant lap machine made by Hi-Tech or any other flat lapping machine.
The fence is constructed of high-quality 6061 aluminum, zinc-plated hardware, and ABS plastic, which will last a lifetime.

Simple framed stone intarsia can be achieved with ease when using the Intarsia Fence.

I’m not sure I could add much more of a positive review on top of what has already been said. This fence has allowed me to expand my lapidary knowledge in a whole new wonderful direction. It has made the process of my first 3 inlay projects possible to complete with 2 more inlays projects started. If you have one of the 8″ Hi-Tech flat laps you have to get one of Jared’s intarsia fences. You will be very glad you did.

Thank you, Jared! This is truly all you need for an All-U-Need flat lap! I have completed my first piece and was amazed at how easily and perfectly the 90 degree angles were to achieve. Perfect angles make perfect seams so my piece has zero gaps that are visible to the naked eye. To anyone hesitant to try intarsia due to fear of imperfection, you’ll be so pleased with how easy this fence makes the process that it will leave you wondering what took you so long to give it a try. To anyone considering this fence vs. an intarsia machine, be aware that a complete piece cannot be made on an intarsia machine because you’ll need a cabbing machine or your flat lap to finish the process. One flat lap, one fence and you’ll be on your merry way! Again, I thank you, Jared!

This is a well made, last forever type, useful tool. If you’ve ever tried to manually get a good right angle edge you know it’s just not possible using just your eyes and fingers. Not for me anyway. This will definitely up your intarsia game!
