Description

Have you struggled with cutting perfectly straight and flat slabs by hand? Well, struggle no more because the Universal Slab Assistant for 10″ trim saws is here!

The Universal Slab Assistant for 10′′ trim saw (USA10) is a guide that can be attached to many trim saws (see compatibility list below) that allows you to cut perfectly straight slabs by hand. You can split thick slabs down the center, and cut thin slabs for stone intarsia. When installed, it can be adjusted to cut slabs of any size up to 7/8” thick.

The USA10 is constructed of high-quality 304 stainless steel and assembled with stainless hardware. It comes with stainless PEM hardware pressed into the back bracket.

Made in the United States of America of 100% US materials.

All orders ship within three business days, and shipping is free on all items via USPS.

Please watch this informational video before purchasing.

Saw compatibility: The USA10 has been tested with numerous saws to generate the compatibility list below. It’s intended to be used with a 10″ trim saw. However, it may fit on other sizes of saws. If you do not see your saw listed below, it doesn’t mean that it will not work, just that it hasn’t been tested yet with that exact saw. You need a minimum trim saw table size for the lower front right of the table of 5″x5″ and the underside of the table needs to be free of obstructions. You can also print the drilling template and line it up with your blade as shown in the installation video to see if you will have room for it on your saw. Please email me at currentlyrockhounding@gmail.com if you have any fitment questions.

Compatible Saws:
1. Hi-Tech Diamond 10″ Slab saw.
2. Highland Park Lapidary 10” trim saw
3. Lortone TS10 10″ Trim saw.
4. ToAuto 8″ (200mm) Trim Saw. It does work with this saw. However the thick (0.200″ or 5.10mm) stainless top on this saw is difficult for most people to drill through, and the added thickness means you will need longer mounting hardware, which is not supplied in the kit.

Incompatible Saws:
1.
Hi-Tech Diamond 6″ Trim saw.

Please watch the short installation guide that best matches your saw before purchasing, since some basic tools are required, and read the FAQ section, as it contains important information.

If you require additional drilling templates, you can download a PDF copy of it here.

FAQs

I usually have the rock on the right. Can the guide set up on the left?
The USA10 can only be mounted on the right side of the blade so that when you're cutting, the slab is falling into your right hand. After extensive polling of people cutting rocks, I found that the majority of people cut slabs this way. If you would like a left-handed one, send me an email, and if there's enough interest in them, I will make some.
There is excessive play in the black plastic tabletop on my 10" Hi-Tech saw, it rubs on the blade or slides around on the saw body. What do I do to fix it?
Before installing the USA10 on your saw, you should inspect your plastic top for the isolation strips and rubber dots and ensure that it does not slide around side to side when installed on the saw. They are highlighted below, and if they are pushed around, damaged, or missing altogether, your plastic top will have excessive movement, which can cause blade rubbing. You must inspect these regularly.
What tools are required to install this on a saw without any preexisting holes?
You will need a drill, a step bit with an increment of 5/16th, a spring-loaded centerpunch, some scraps of wood, masking tape, and a marker.
